Another Irish writers showcase podcast for you as we visit Letterkenny, Leitrim, Lismore and Ballina.  This month we have an excerpt from our series The Writer’s Passage, episode number 2 which featured The Stone by Claire Nolan; this sequence was recorded in Kilkenny Castle (pictured left).  We have poetry by Michael Pattwell recorded at Lismore Heritage Centre in County Waterford, Micheal reads the title poem from his collection ‘Flaghopping‘ .  There is music by Pete Courtney singing ‘Please Somebody’ and Mick Hanly performing ‘Happy As A Baby In Your Arms’ both these songs are featured in sessions recorded at The Dock Arts Centre in Carrick-on-Shannon in County Leitrim and a reading from ‘City of Hope’ by Kate Kerrigan recorded at her writing den in Ballina County Mayo.  Kate incidentally also recorded an episode of The Writer’s Passage for us.  And of course elsewhere on the site we have added a new Interview with Kate, a short story by Sheila Smyth and The July ediition of The Calendar Road since our last showcase.  In the meantime thank you for all your comments and Facebook likes, we really appreciate you that the time to contact us.
