September is almost over as Sinéad takes a short walk to the hedgerow to see if the time is right for sloe berry picking.  Last month is was all berries, this month it’s just the sloe variety, as the Irish autumn is waning and there is a definite chill in the air, though we look forward to enjoying what natures larder might bring us if we are patient.
