Welcome to John Mulligan’s page here on podcasts.ie. John Mulligan is from Boyle in County Roscommon; he has also lived in Dublin and Meath. He is a travel writer and Human Rights activist, and a founder member and chairman of the Irish NGO “Focus on Romania” that lobbies for basic rights for disabled persons in institutions in Romania. He is also a founder member of the Eastern European Aid and Development Network , an organisation that has brought together many of the Irish voluntary organisations that work in eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. He has worked and travelled extensively in Eastern Europe and Russia. In addition to his books he has contributed to several magazines and newspapers, including the Irish Farmers Journal and the Mail on Sunday.
John’s books include: “Dancing on the Waves” (Collins Press, 2004). “Following in the Footsteps of the Four Famous Flannerys”. (Connaught Telegraph 2007). “No Place in the Sun.”(Original Irish Writing, 2009). John’s books are available on line by visiting here.
